THE MAIN COURSE: CAREER TRAINING PROGRAM IN CULINARY ARTS

Our career training in culinary arts is 216 hours (54 sessions) of hands-on training in professional level culinary skills and techniques.

Morning Classes Schedule:
Winter Schedule Monday through Thursday 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
(Late Shabbos) Monday through Friday 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

Evening Classes Schedule:
Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings 7:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.

RECREATIONAL CLASSES

From hands-on sushi making classes to date night, explore your culinary curiosity and learn the essentials of various topics related to cooking, baking, cake decoration, and more.

We offer single session and short series recreational classes on various culinary topics. Our classes are open to men and women ages 12 and up. We also offer classes specifically designed for children, teens, and special needs students.

Classes are offered days, nights, weekends, and motzei Shabbos in the winter. Couples will love our Date Night series, which are offered year round.

At Kosher Culinary Center we offer culinary services for an increasingly discerning community. When it comes time to share the joy of food with loved ones at your next event, we can help impress. Anything to celebrate, from Sheva Brachot to Sweet Sixteens, we bring the best that our kitchen and state of the art equipment has to offer. We can do exotic, themed menus or traditional dinners, tailored to your specific needs.

A few examples of the celebrations we can host are: Sheva Brachot, Birthday Groups, Bridal Showers, Sweet Sixteens, Bar/Bat mitzvahs, Romantic Catered dinners, and Anniversary Surprise Demo. COOKING COMPETITIONS ARE OUR SPECIALTY…WHETHER THE OBJECTIVE IS ENTERTAINMENT, SKILL DEVELOPMENT, OR TEAM BUILDING; THIS IS THE PLACE TO COMPETE.

If you are looking for a great time out with family or friends, come join us for a little friendly competition…Our “Chopped “ style competition will have you running high on adrenaline to create a presentable dish while the clock is ticking. Check our calendar for our next culinary competition. Be sure to sign up right away as these classes fill up quickly.

Our cooking class etiquette is as follows: Cell phones are not a welcome distraction. Please restrict making or accepting phone calls to an area outside the classroom. Babies and small children are not permitted in our kitchen while class is in progress.

Outside food and dairy beverages are strictly prohibited at all times. Please help us adhere to the rules of kashrut as we are a strictly kosher facility. Kitchen tools from your home, including knives are also not permitted.

A crowd pleaser from the chicken stock based soup day in our career culinary training program.

Chinese Shu – Mai Dumplings

These Singapore style, chicken or lamb, filled dumplings, hand wrapped and steamed, with a mirin based dip, are covered on Asia Day in our career culinary training program.

Thai Style Turkey Meatballs

These spicy turkey and water chestnut meatballs, served with a fresh ginger glaze, are always a favorite on buffet day.

Chicken Yamaguchi

This panko crusted chicken roll, filled with vegetables, sushi rice, and nori, is accented by a roasted sesame seed sauce and cilantro.

Beef Bourguignon

Slow cooked to perfection, this dish is a student favorite on braising day in our primal beef series.

Roasted Rack of Lamb En Chemise

This rack of lamb is stuffed with a chive and shallot stuffing and served with a mango and pink peppercorn relish.
